Browtique has been a staple of Rancho Santa Fe for over 15 years, growing alongside the community. Many of our clients first came to us as students who we are now styling for their weddings and then bringing their own little ones to appointments. Oftentimes, it feels like one big family (with a mutual beauty obsession).
This community has watched us grow from a simple Brow establishment into a full-service salon that now includes facials, haircuts and color, lash services, and more. But the one thing that has remained the same is our commitment to delivering the newest and freshest beauty trends. Why travel to NY, Paris or LA, when you can have the best of the beauty industry right around the corner from home?
We take beauty seriously. Both our founder and top aesthetician were trained in brow shaping by Anastasia Soare, founder of the legendary Anastasia of Beverly Hills cosmetics line. Many say that Anastasia brought the brow aesthetic to where it is today, which is why we are so proud to have been trained by the best.
We take that same desire for “the best of beauty” into everything we do. Dee created Browtique to both realize a dream and fill a void in the San Diego beauty market. She wanted to create a space where people could see the region’s most talented stylists and makeup artists all in one place, and that’s what she did. Browtique provides the Rancho Santa Fe community with access to a comprehensive, top-of-the-line salon experience.
“I truly love being a part of this vibrant community and being able to develop deep-rooted relationships with its residents,” says Bush. “It’s so gratifying to help my clients become the best versions of themselves.”
Prior to launching Browtique, Dee mastered brow shaping techniques as an aesthetician working with Anastasia Soare, the founder of Anastasia of Beverly Hills and the authority on a perfectly shaped brow. Dee also honed her skincare expertise and makeup artistry skills as an aesthetician for Laura Mercier. During this time, she developed a philosophy for enhancing, rather than correcting, clients’ most beautiful features.
Dee’s extensive training, coupled with her ability to bring out the individual beauty of each client, has enabled Browtique to quickly distinguish itself as a not-to-be-missed experience and earn media accolades.
ABOUT THE TEAM
♡ Lindsay Merrell | Skin and eyebrows
Lindsay Merrell is a San Diego-based Eyebrow Artist and Esthetician with over 20 years in the beauty industry. She started her brow journey studying under Anastasia Soare, eyebrow shaping legend and founder of Anastasia of Beverly Hills, where she learned the architecture of brows. At Browtique, Lindsay has developed a loyal following both locally and with those who travel cross-country to have her shape their brows.
Lindsay specializes in a “naturally” beautiful brow, with a perfect balance of soft and strong. Many clients come to her after growing out their eyebrows completely so she can craft from their natural canvas. It’s a matter of trust. After all, the right shape and fullness can uniquely beautify a face, and Lindsay’s clients know it’s an art she has mastered.
She sees them, she listens, and they collaborate together. That’s her magic.
♡Cathy | aesthetician
Cathy has always been fascinated and enamored by makeup and the way it could transform a person’s face and confidence. It all started the first time she approached a MAC counter at 12 years old, and she hasn’t looked back since. It’s a calling, and it wasn’t long before her early career blossomed as a freelance makeup artist, working with clients to bring their inner beauty outward.
As her love to makeup began to focus on skincare and brows, she embarked on a new journey as an aesthetician. As Browtique’s licensed aesthetician, she has settled into her new home. Each day is another opportunity to make her clients feel beautiful, rejuvenated, and refreshed.

Michael Canale has long been regarded as one of the best colorists in the beauty industry. He has received accolades from celebrities, top fashion magazines, models and most telling from his peers. This internationally renowned hairstylist is heralded and highly regarded for his innovative technique. His correctional color is well-known throughout the entertainment industry. Many of his clients, who must change their hair color regularly, seek his expertise at his salon in Beverly Hills.
Best known for being Jennifer Aniston’s colorist since the beginning of her career on ‘FRIENDS.’ Jennifer’s famous caramel highlights are still the most sought after highlights in the business, PEOPLE MAGAZINE, ‘Peoples Choice’ 2004. His prestigious clientele ranges from Denise Richards, Jeri Ryan, Faith Hill, Sela Ward, Amanda Bynes, Blythe Danner, Harry Hamlin, and pop sensation Shakira. He has done everyone from Estee Lauder’s current covergirl, Carolyn Murphy, to the Princess of Spain.
Michael has been chosen as the best colorist in Los Angeles by ALLURE MAGAZINE five years in a row. In August 2005, ALLURE’S beauty editor stated, “Canale is linked with famous blondes like Carolyn Murphy… our caramel locks convinced even our most skeptical brunette friends to cross color lines.” He is regularly included in ‘W’ MAGAZINE’S annual BLACKBOOK.
Michael currently maintains a very select clientele in New York, Washington DC, as well as his salon in Beverly Hills. Prior to opening in Beverly Hills Michael maintained an international private clientele in Gsdtaad, Paris and London. He has been invited to attend inaugurations and inaugural balls by four presidents as an official hairstylist for dignitaries and visitors. He was included in Earl Blackwell’s famous “list” as one of the world’s finest beauty professionals for four consecutive years.

With an intense passion for everything hair, Brooklyn is a staple at Browtique. She was trained at Bellus Academy and furthered her education with Brazillian Blowout, L’Oreal Professionanls, Hattori Hanzo, and Travis Parker Academy. Visit her chair for your cut, color, Brazillian Blowout, k18, extensions, or soften your locks with a conditioning treatment. Brooklyn’s enthusiasm is present in everything she does, and it’s an experience she loves to enjoy with her clients.
